Irritating poles

That’s what the city I live in must have been thinking when they placed these poles. The street I live in has a big shortage in parking space, so we are required to be creative. Parking 2 cars in a single space, parking your car so that others can use the created space to park their cars next to yours, and using any available space to park your car. That’s also what we did there. An no harm was done as even trucks could still pass you. But the city decided that they didn’t want anyone to park there anymore. One of my neighbours that moved a couple of months ago complained about cars blocking the ally to her backyard (that also happens to be the ally to my backyard) and this is the result.
Ah well. I allready spoke with another neighbour and we both agreed that the poles are going to go. Either the city is going to remove them, or we’re going to do it ourselves.

Busdrivers can’t drive

A couple of days ago I allready said that police can’t park, but now I also found out that busdrivers can’t drive. Or at least they do know how to drive a bus, but they either don’t know how the brakes work, or they don’t know the meaning of traffic lights.
This particular busdriver ran a red light and then blocked an intersection while waiting for the train to pass. Cars had problems getting around him. Also when the railroadcrossing opened again he forgot to give the right of way to traffic coming from the right.
Hurray for public transport!

Finally. Those cold winter days seem to be over. Today was one of the first real winter afternoons this year. It still isn’t warm outside, but at least the sun is shining. Let’s hope this summer will be one to remember.

Worst iphone blog app

This has got to be one of the worst iPhone blog apps available. Promises a lot, but offers nothing extra over all the free apps available. In fact, it offers less. Single attachements that can’t be edited. Deleting a post crashes it. Isn’t smart enough to read the blog name. Only works with 1 blog. And more… A waste of your money.

Police can’t park

And they day women can’t park… Well, the local police can’t park either. They parked their van on 2 handicapped parking spaces roughly 1 meter from the kerb. They left it there for over an hour. See for yourself.
